The Bluffs of Lake City is seeking a full-time Director of Health Services to join their team!

Position Summary

The Director of Health Services is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, evaluation and effectively directing the clinical staff in order to ensure high quality resident care and services with regulations and Company expectations. The Director of Nursing will work closely with management reading the short and long-term operation goals and objectives for the campus.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Create and maintain an environment that achieved high quality care of residents
    1. Complete assessments for residents’ care needs
    2. Oversee and monitor medical record information for completeness and accuracy for residents
    3. Coordinate clinical services with other heal professionals inside and outside
  2. Manage resident support employees
    1. Maintain departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures; confer with management and staff members as necessary
    2. Determine staffing requirements and interview, hire, and train new employees
    3. Provide leadership and direction through the completion of performance appraisals, goal setting, and conferences with employees as needed
  3. Participate in operational and financial operations
    1. Assist with the development of clinical policies, procedures and practices
    2. Monitor records to ensure compliance with regulations
    3. Provide input to Campus Director during annual budget process when necessary
  4. Perform related work, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in state(s) in which will be practicing
  • Three to five years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated competencies in health care management, staff development, resident and family support systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in gerontological nursing
